When an evaluation of the hotel’s Business Center revealed its operations were not up to hotel standards for service, hotel administrators sought
a better alternative.
A year ago, Hotel Manager Jean-Francois Pouliot examined possible options, and was referred to Vertical Systems, Inc. (VSi)

week. Le Centre not only improved its Business Center operations but also created a new profit center for the hotel.
Le Centre Sheraton Hotel is a multi-million dollar operation booking more than 200,000

The Latest Technology
VSi installed Dell desktop PCs, high-resolution H-P
laser printers, a copier/fax system, high-speed
broadband Internet access, and data ports for guests
traveling with laptop computers. With Microsoft
Office Suite installed on the desktop stations,
guests can check e-mail and handle word processing,
spreadsheet or business presentation tasks during
their hotel stay.
VSi's proprietary FreshStart/Instant Rebuild™
technology offers each Automated Business Center
guest a computer free of viruses and ensures a
secure working environment every time a new user
logs onto a computer.
Le Centre staffs its Automated Business Center on
weekdays. After hours, guests have easy access to
the Center using their room key-card. VSi’s
automated credit card payment system, including a
card-swipe on the Dell desktop keyboards, means
guests can pay for services with a credit card and
obtain an e-mailed or printed receipt for Business
Center charges when their work is completed.

As for customer support, Pouliot says “Vertical
